Laurent Cabernet Sauvignon Reserva

Regularly $12.99/ On sale for $9.96

We were thrilled to find this Chilean cab that is so representative of the rich and full style we expect from Chile while offering a bit more finesse than we normally find at such an affordable price point. This is a great choice for grilled foods with bright brambly fruit, and acidity that’s not just food-friendly, but hungry-making.  Never fear, though, the tannins are velvety enough to enjoy this wine all on it’s own.

The estate is operated by organic/biodynamic Bordeaux winemaker Gerard Laurent of Chateau L'Escart. It is 92% Cabernet Sauvignon/ 8% Carmenere from the Maipo Valley. The grapes are grown organically on riverbed soils of alluvial clay loam and fermented in steel with about 3 months barrel aging and it sees some new oak. Enjoy!

Founders Brewing Company: Green Zebra

Regularly $10.99/On sale $9.96

Founders Brewing Company in Grand Rapids, MI puts out this brew, ideal for the warm,  warmer, and hot weather. The Gose style is a naturally tart style, and a favorite fruit for brewers to cut that tartness with is — as it is here — watermelon.

The key to the Green Zebra is balance as both brew and fruit seamlessly blend together to give not too much of either and just enough of both!
