Our new Wine of the Week is

David Bowler "Cora" Pinot Grigio 2017
Regularly $11.99/On Sale $10.96

David Bowler is a New York based importer focusing on naturally made, small batch wines from around the world.  In his many years of seeking out small, family producers, he has of course befriended many; and, like many curious, adventurous importers before him, has entered into a collaboration with some of his producers to create wines under his own label: “Cora.”

Several weeks ago we featured the Cora Montepulciano d’Abruzzo as our red Wine of the Week. It was a huge hit, so we now feature this quaffable Pinot Grigio made from fruit sourced in the Veneto. We love unusual Pinots Grigio/Gris: skin-contact, unfiltered; racy Alsatians; lush Oregonians; unpredictable Slovenians! But there is a reason this classic Veneto style of Pinot Grigio is beloved world-wide: pure, easy pleasure. You can serve this wine to any guest at any time and not be nervous you’ve mis-judged their tastes!

The grapes for the Cora were soft-pressed, macerated for two weeks, and fermented under cool temperatures. Ready to go, and ready to enjoy on any fall picnic!
