Our new Wine of the Week is

David Bowler "Cora" Montepulciano d'Abruzzo 2017
Regularly $11.99/On Sale $10.96

David Bowler is a New York based importer focusing on naturally made, small batch wines from around the world.  In his many years of seeking out small, family producers, he has of course befriended many; and, like many curious, adventurous importers before him, has entered into a collaboration with some of his producers to create wines under his own label: “Cora.”

Over the next few weeks, we will feature several of his wines. We begin this week with a classic, fresh Montepulciano (the grape) d’Abruzzo (the region)! The Abruzzo in western Italy is the ancestral home to this grape that excels at juicy, quaffable, food-friendly reds. The grapes for the Cora were soft-pressed, macerated for two weeks, and fermented under cool temperatures. The wine then underwent malolactic fermentation and was kept in tank for an additional six months before bottling. Ready to go, and ready to take us into fall (fingers crossed!).
