Ricardo Baldi has become a young winemaker to watch. He started with two hectares in 2009 at the age of 20. He's now farming 10 hectares organically and biodynamically in his tiny home town (only 2000 inhabitants!) in the Le Marche region of western Italy. Riccardo has brought real innovation to the winery with the introduction of biodynamic farming in all the vineyards. This means a complete ban of all chemical herbicides, pesticides or fertilizers in the vineyards which are now treated only with natural products such as sulfur, copper, herb teas and infusions. In the cellar, Riccardo vinifies his wines with total respect for the grape properties and for the viticultural traditions of the area.
The La Staffa L’Aurosa Rosato is a more cheeky interpretation of the Montepulciano grape that dominates Southwestern Italy. Brief contact with the skins during fermentation gifts the wine with the colors of the dawn, a fresh scent of the fields and flowers, and a quality that leaves you wanting more!
