Wine of the Week 6/1/21
Château Sainte Eulalie “Printemps” Rosé 2020
Regularly $17.99/On Sale for $14.96
This week our “red” wine of the week is a rosé! Despite our brief respite this past weekend, we all know the heat is coming back, and you can arm yourself against that fact by tucking a few of these substantial, elegant Minervois Rosés in your fridge!
Isabelle Coustal and her husband Laurent established Sainte Eulalie in 1996 on the best vineyard sites of the Minervois AOC. The vineyards are now on average 25 years old, all farmed organically, and Coustal is making some of the region’s finest wines. The “Printemps” (Spring) Rosé is no exception. A blend of 50% Syrah, 35% Cinsault, 10% Grenache (from 70 year-old vines!), and 5% Mourvèdre, hand-sorted, produced by “saignée”, and aged in tank.
This is a long-time shop favorite, and we’ve invested in as much of it as we can get. Don’t miss it at Wine-of-the-Week prices!
