Beer of the Week! 09/14/21
Caboose For Lovers: Chamomile Rye Table Beer
Regularly $17.99 / Now on Sale for $16.96
Rye Ale with Chamomile
Goodness knows we love a good beer series. Currently we’re digging the For Lovers beers by Caboose Brewing Company in Vienna, VA. For this series, Caboose uses all Virginia ingredients for each brew. They also use their brewing magic to make the beers interesting and tasty!
The Chamomile Rye Table Beer is Caboose’s latest iteration. Local Brasetto Rye and Chamomile flowers get fermented by a strain of yeast that you usually use when you want to mimic wild fermentation. The surprising thing, though, is that the Chamomile Rye Table Beer is not a tart ale. It’s floral with faint notes of honey. It’s light in body and light in strength with just a hint of chamomile on the nose and a luxurious smoothness on the palate. Coming in at just 3.5% ABV, if you’re looking for something that’s easy, easy, easy to drink in so many ways, here’s a brew for you.
Bonus Sake of the Week (‘Cause we like to keep you guessing)
North American Sake Brewery
Saikó Sparkling Sake with Yuzu, Lemon, & Mint
Regularly $13.99 / Now on Sale for $12.96
Sparkling Sake with Yuzu, Lemon, & Mint
It may just be a fact that everything is better with Yuzu in it. Just ask our own North American Sake Brewery. They’ve just recently launched a new line of sparkling sakes called Saikó (“Awesome”).
Their Yuzu, Lemon, & Mint is just short of dry, which turns out to be the perfect sweetness level to let juiciness of the yuzu be garnished by the lemon and mint all lying atop the slight doughiness of the sake. Of course, the carbonation keeps everything light, and NASB has kept the ABV down at 7%. And thus we have another fun, awesome, spritzy treat for all of us to enjoy!
