We have been fans of the Kiers family via their grapes since before they started using them to make their own wines! John and Susan established their vineyard in the Shenandoah Valley in 1996 and, after many years of selling grapes to others, established their own winery in 2010. They now have 23 acres, and all of their wines are 100% estate grown. Their daughter Harriet, after apprenticeships in France and Oregon, is now working alongside her father in the winery. Grüner Veltliner is a grape that several different wineries are now using and Ox Eye’s version is especially delicious!
