The first two Wine of the Week we offered after re-opening the shop in 2018 were the Young white and Red, so it feels fitting to feature tham as our first two WOWs for Virginia Wine Month!
The Young wines from Early Mountain are intended as a way to focus on hybrid grapes, low intervention winemaking (Low sulphur, native yeast), and easy going, extremely drinkable wines. We can attest that they are extremely drinkable! These wines are also meant to promote hybrid grapes as a path forward to more sustainable winegrowing in our region.
