These are two extremely summery wines! Chill a couple of bottles and loll about with your friends on a deck or blanket in the grass somewhere. Simple pleasures are a requirement of life!

Les Foulards Rouge La Soif du Mal Blanc
Regularly $29.99/On sale for $26.99
(Muscat of Alexandria, Macabeu)

Jean François Nicq and Bijan Mohomadi started Les Foulards Rouge (the red scarves) in 2002, purchasing their first 10 hectares in the wild and rocky region of Roussillon, where some of France's most fascinating wine is being made. Jean François had worked for the 12 years prior making wine at the Estezargues co-op in the Côte du Rhône. The vineyards are located in the far south of Languedoc, Les Albères, along the Spanish border, about 10 km from the Mediterranean. They quickly converted to organic viticulture and soon after to strict natural philosophy. Minimal intervention drives the work in both vineyards and cellars. We popped a bottle of this wildly aromatic, slightly salty, and fresh wine just the other night and immediately floated away on a cloud of joie!

Vinas Mora Barbba
Regularly $27.99/On sale for $25.19
(Debit, Marastina, Plavina, Lasin)

Krešo Petrekovic is a former somm, wine professional, and importer in New York who  has a  coastal house in Primošten, Croatia. His Passion for the area, its unique terroir, and indigenous varieties, makes him a strong advocate for drinking wines made by the local farmers. This zeal is how he found Josipa and Neno Marinov, a local couple producing wine “as their elders did 100 years ago, with some improvements.” The pair were selling wines in plastic bottles on the side of the road. Together they discovered the nearly-abandoned winemaking facilities of a local co-op and the opportunity to take over and to keep its tradition alive was too good to pass on. Joined by Niko Dukan, they founded Vinas Mora, with Krešo at its helm. All wines are organic, biodynamic, and unfiltered. They are also incredibly delicious. We recently re-tasted this wine and if you aren’t drinking this extremely juicy cherry bomb this summer, we don’t know what you are doing. Low intervention, low sulphur, chillable.
