$23.99 for the four-pack of 12 oz bottles
Bourbon Barrel-aged Imperial Stout
In 1997, Brett VanderKamp and Jason Spaulding co-founded New Holland Brewing Company in Holland, MI on the shores of their Great Lake. (Today, it’s Michigan’s largest independent craft brewery.) Four years later at the beginning of the millennium, they became one of the first craft breweries to have a year-round bourbon barrel-aged stout — the New Holland Dragon’s Milk. For years the Dragon’s Milk has been a tasteful, sane, respectable friend to those looking for regularly available bourbon barrel bounty. Every once in a while, though, New. Holland gets a little nuts, and now, they’ve gotten more than a little …
The New Holland Dragon’s Milk Triple Mash is a MUCH bigger version of the Dragon’s Milk. “Ultimate indulgence” is the phrase that New Holland uses. “… the result of years of honing technique and pushing the limits of what a stout can be.” As the name indicates, the Triple Mash undergoes three different mashes to create a monster stout. Rich with notes of chocolate and burnt caramel, low carbonation, the final brew clocks in at a whopping 18.7% ABV! That’s after spending a year in Kentucky bourbon barrels.
It’s two steps away from being a malted cocktail, but it’s well worth stepping up to. Have a New Holland Triple Mash and treat yourself to a quietly luxurious beast.
