We hope you will join us!
It’s been a while since we’ve seen each other, so we invited one of our favorite customers, and (self proclaimed) converted wine-nerd, Reggie Leonard, to collaborate with us to bring together a virtual series based on his interests. We will be pairing a few wines to each episode so that we can drink and talk together about wine. Pick up a bottle of one or all so you can join us in tasting from home.
Here is what he has put together:
“Via this series of “dream conversations”, I want to get together, and celebrate some of the things that I love most about our community. These also happen to be some of the things I love most about wine. Things like diversity, personality, geography, culture. This will be a three part virtual series, connected by the central theme of “community”, that seeks to celebrate the often serendipitous, and generally unexpected conversations that tend to happen in the quaint shop that is Market Street Wine. Some of the people I’ve selected to converse with are friends, some are community members I’ve briefly interacted with, and others are people I’ve admired from a distance.

Oct 16th: Wine & Food
A lot of us have changed, or at least more consciously encountered, our relationship to food during the last several months. This has been the case for individuals and families, as well as for the entire restaurant industry, farmers, and the entire food supply chain. We've dusted off our cast iron, learned how to cook dry beans, perfected our takeout orders, asked questions of our culinary histories, and consumed copious amounts of wine.
In this conversation, we'll discuss these topics, in addition to taking some Q&A about cooking, and wine pairings from the experts.

Wine and art are a classic pairing. They're also both notorious for feeling inaccessible. In this discussion we will explore that. Along the way, we'll find new roads to discover the beauty that lies behind doors that can seem to be closed; in wine, in art, and in our lives.

This is a conversation about connection. Our common point of connection via place, Charlottesville, will be our backdrop. We will explore concepts of place, home, community, and the intersections between each other's experience and our own. The hope is that you will see, and even find some parts of yourself as you journey with us.
