Fun from the Northeast!

Vermont is one of the great beer states. it has more craft breweries per capita than any other state. Of course, quantity doesn’t necessarily mean quality, but no one would question Vermont’s reputation for quality brewing. (It was a Vermont craft brewery that made the first NEIPA.)

Maine is also no slouch in the craft beer world. In Maine, craft beer making is an art form with a culture dedicated to fresh ingredients. In 2019, a handful of Maine breweries banded together to form the Maine Brewshed Alliance, an organization tasked with educating the public on the importance of maintaining Maine’s waters. Maine also has so much of a hop growing industry, that many of their craft brewers don’t have to buy hops from outside of the state. Fresher hops, better beer.
