Silver Hand Meadery

Silver Hand Meadery is based in Williamsburg, VA. It was co-founded by Glenn and Sherri Lavender in 2015 as the next step in Glenn’s journey of reading about mead, drinking it, making it, deciding to make it professionally, and studying it.

Silver Hand is engaged in presenting this ancient drink in a way that matches modern drinking habits and palates. It’s fun stuff. (Plus, they take inspiration for their mead names from rock and pop songs, leading to some fun labels.)
