Special Winery Tasting!

Way up in northeastern Spain’s Penedès region, 27 miles from Barcelona to the east and 11 miles from the Mediterranean to the south is Can Sumoi, the collaboration between Raventós Wines’ Pepe Raventós and his childhood friend Francesc Escala. Based in a 350 year-old farmhouse, Can Sumoi sits on limestone soils, 1900 ft. above sea level in the Serra de l’Home mountain range. Next to stands of oak trees and white pines, they organically grow grapes like Montonega, Xarel-lo, and Sumoll to produce wines without stabilization or filtering.
