Sip Some of the South into Your Mouth
Argentina, Chile, Uruguay, Bolivia, Brazil, even Paraguay and Ecuador — wherever the European colonizers went, they brought their grapes and made their wine (within a certain latitudinal range where grapes grow). Wine followed the Spanish missionaries into South America in the 15th and 16th centuries. Today, South American wine from Argentina and Chile, in particular, have taken their place on the world wine stage. More importantly, for us, they’ve had places on our shelves for years.
This Wine Wednesday, we look at wines from South America. Come join guest pourer Heather from Potomac Selections in this free walk-up tasting.
