Willamette Duo

Johan Winery and Vineyards sits in Oregon’s Willamette Valley’s Van Duzer Corridor AVA — an area that funnels cooling Atlantic winds inland, reducing fungus pressure and making the area suitable for sustainable farming. Johan makes the most of this regional characteristic by running a dedicated certified biodynamic winery.

Taking inspiration from their German heritage, David and Lori Ulbricht have named their McMinnville winery SchöneTal Cellars after the German words "Schöne", meaning beautiful and "Tal", meaning valley. Sourcing grapes from local vineyards, they are dedicated to making low intervention, unfined, and unfiltered Pinot Noir.
