Potter’s Craft Cider
Tim Edmonds and Dan Potter have one of the beer stories that you don’t hear about … the failed attempt.
Tim and Dan met in college and became friends and homebrew buddies. They loved it so much that after college they decided to start a farmhouse brewery. They planted a small patch of hops and prepared to make their beer. Then … their hop field flooded, and they lost the entire crop. Farming … it plugs you into the universe. Nature cares not for you plans and dreams.
So, Tim and Dan had no hops. What they did have was access to fresh pressed local apple juice and a bunch of homebrewing equipment already set up. In 2011, Potter’s Craft Cider was born bringing a whole new attitude to local cider making. To this day, Potter’s has a whole craft beer flare, swagger, and sensibility to their ciders, be it using beer yeast to ferment their apples or playing around with actual hops in their ciders.
Join us this Thursday as we taste a collection of Potter’s ciders from our boys (and their cider makers). This is a free, walk-up tasting. Please join us any time in the hour and a half.
