Small Batch Wines, Big Ideas

Lightwell Survey is winemaker Ben Jordan, restaurateurs Sebastian and Jay Zutant, and design creatives Julian Caustrita and John DeNapoli coming together to make sustainable, natural wines in Virginia. They started in the fall of 2015, partnering with Early Mountain Vineyards in Madison, VA. Now, they’re based in Waynesboro making small batches of “lively reds, dense whites and unique combinations of the two.”

We’ve been big fans of the Lightwell Survey wines ever since we brought them into our shop. The only thing we love more than the wines is turning people on to them. Thus, a Lightwell tasting is a double joy for us.
