The Dal Maso family winery began its production of quality wines in 1887 under the guidance of patriarch Serafino. Now Nicola, Silvia and Anna Dal Maso continue the path taken by their great-grandfather with both traditional wine-making techniques, and a willingness to try interesting grape varietals and styles (they make one of our favorite “sleeper” wines: a delightful frizzante(!) Chardonnay).  This “Cabernet” is actually a 50/50 blend of Cabernet Sauvignon and Cabernet Franc grown in Colli Berici in the Veneto, and is the perfect light and smooth (and inexpensive!) red wine to ease us all into January.
