The word is pretty much out by now that Waynesboro’s Basic City Beer has been killing it with their Double IPAs. So, it’s nice (for those of us not frequenting the brewery) to see what they can do with other styles. Enter The Transient Porter, a Robust Porter that is here and, presumably, gone. Smooth and creamy on the mouth, this Porter features a mess of roasted malt flavor blending with citrusy hops that crank up the roast to the next level. It’s full-bodied and feisty and has fun and skirting the edge between Porter and Stout. Try this brew with your barbecue or your steaks.
