Coming in 2020 - Wine Classes!

In 2020, Market Street Wine, in collaboration with the Virginia Wine and Spirits Academy, will begin hosting WSET qualification classes.  WSET qualifications are globally recognized as the international standard in wine and spirit knowledge, and we are very happy to be the only place in Charlottesville where these courses are offered.

We will begin on January 25th with the WSET Level One course.
A beginner level introduction to wine suitable for those starting a wine career or pursuing an interest in wine. (And, frankly, we're planning on sitting in to brush up on our skills as well!)  For individuals new to wine study, this qualification provides a hands-on introduction to the world of wine. You’ll explore the main types and styles of wine through sight, smell, and taste, while also gaining the basic skills to describe wines accurately, and make food and wine pairings.

All attendees will also receive a one-use, 15% off coupon for purchase of wine in the shop, so you can immediately put your newly-gained knowledge to use!

More courses for different WSET levels and less formal classes on other topics will be programmed throughout the year.
