This big, beautiful bruiser of a zymurgical homage to Hunter S. Thompson is a shop favorite that we’re brining back for the winter, when there's no need to either fear or loathe it.

American and English ale yeast strains set off behind the wheel of classic Caramel, Black, and Chocolate malts. In the trunk they've packed suitcases of Northern Brewer and Cascade resiny, piney bitterness. Once these poor bastards get on the road, you're somewhere around coffee and vanilla notes, on the edge of the burnt toffee and molasses desert, when the hops begin to take hold.
