Beer of the Week! 03/02/21
Parkway Triple A
Regularly $9.99 / Now on Sale for $8.96
American Amber Ale
There’s something to be said for a simple, well-made beer. Don’t get us wrong. We like to go fancy as much as the next person. (Our collection of barrel-aged beers should tell you that.) And often we’re, like, “Coconut, ginger, pineapples, and licorice!?! Sign me up!” But sometimes you want to brush off your old Reinheitsgebot and head back to the basics. Parkway Brewing in Salem, VA knows what we’re talking about.
For them their Triple A American Amber Ale is a love letter to “the laid back, easy drinking beers we all grew up on.” From the taste of the Triple A, Parkway must’ve grown up on some nice beers! (Personally, we grew up on the original Stone Ruination Ale, but we get it. We’re not going to harsh on anyone’s nostalgia trip.)
The Triple A boasts, first and foremost, malt. Each sip is like a warm, comfortable sweet (but not too sweet), bready lap rug with hints of caramel that folds itself up into chest of mild hops at the finish, ready for you to unpack another sip. For those people looking for a good, straight-forward brew, this is one you have to try.
