Ermes Pavese Blanc de Morgex et de La Salle
Regularly $43.99/On sale for $39.59
(100% Prié Blanc)
Ermes Pavese makes wine from Prié Blanc, a grape native to the Vallée d’Aoste. His vineyard sites sit at over 3900 feet above sea level and the grapes for this particular bottling come from the highest vineyard site in Europe. The isolation of the sites allows Ermes to work with pre-phylloxera rootstock. This is a new wine to our shelf and when we tasted it recently, we knew we had found the racy, minerally, wine of our dreams!
Venus La Universal Dido Montsant Red
Regularly $32.99/On sale for $29.96
(Garnacha, Carignan, Syrah)
We don’t know that there is a warmer, fuzzier bottle of wine in the shop!
Dido is made by Sara Pérez and René Barbier, two children of iconic winemakers (their dads founded Mas Martinet and Clos Mogador, respectively) who grew up knowing each other but only fell in love as young winemakers over a shared wine language. They now each helm the wineries their fathers created but make this “passion project” together. Venus La Universal is made in Montsant from grapes from their own small plot and purchased fruit from neighbors. It is just the ripe, rich red you need to warm the cockles of your heart.
