Spotlight on the Caboose For Lovers: Ghost Train to Helles

$17.99 for the 16oz four-pack
Helles Style Lager Brewed with Peppers

Sometimes we go a little crazy. Sometimes we go a little insane. Sometimes we feel very little shame. Sometimes — we’ll say it — we like to spice things up! Apparently, we’re not the only ones.

Coming out of Caboose Brewing Company in Fairfax, VA we present the latest hot helles lager … literally hot. Caboose has made the Ghost Train to Helles with serrano, habañero, and ghost peppers. Why? If you need to ask, you’re not a lover of spicy food.

If you are, now you can drink your heat! And, the Ghost Train being part of Caboose’s “For Lovers” series, Caboose has used as many Virginia ingredients as possible including malt from our very own Murphy & Rude Malters and peppers from sustainable VA farmers.

Now we want to be clear. Caboose isn’t trying to kill you. This beer isn’t a capsaicin purée. Caboose has dialed in enough spice for you to taste it (for sure!) but not enough to burn. Still, we would not recommend chugging this brew. However, again, it’s not like Caboose set out to brew an endurance test. First and foremost, the Ghost Train to Helles is a tasty, off-dry, bready Helles lager … with peppers.

So get this beer nice and cold, order up your Mexican food, and tell them they can hold the jalapeños, ‘cause we’ve got you covered!
