The Spanish town of Haro sits between mountain ranges in the very northwest corner of the Rioja province in north central Spain. In 1879, the Real de Asua brothers began making wine there in their district’s train station. They named their company Compañía Vinícola del Norte de España and labeled their wines with the company’s initials, C.V.N.E. However, somewhere along the way, someone mistook their acronym for a word and misspelled it. Thus the CVNE’s Cune line of wines was born.

CVNE’s Cune Rosado is made of Rioja’s premiere red grape, Tempranillo. The grapes are hand-harvested and fermented in stainless steel, giving you a bright, clean rosado. Easy to drink, it sports just enough acid to act as a springboard for the berry fruit to launch into the pool of your taste buds. Have it cool but not cold to fully enjoy the deepness of the grape. The Cune is a rosado that’s equally at home mixed with sharp cheeses and grilled chicken as it is just lounging on a porch, watching the sunset.
