Aviva is a U.S. based importer of mostly Spanish wines that has been going since 2009. They only work with one Portuguese winery, Quinta da Lixa, who makes for Aviva this tasty Vinho Verde.

Quinta da Lixa sits in the Sousa sub-region of Vinho Verde. They’re a large concern with a total of 105 hectares of vineyards spread across several estates in Vinho Verde. The grapes for this spritzy white come from their namesake estate — Quinta da Lixa. Fresh and floral on the nose, it’s crisp and refreshing on the palate with more lime and kiwi notes than usual in Vinho Verdes.

We have Vinho Verdes that we’ve liked fine for a while, so we weren’t looking for another. However, when we tried this one, we just had to bring it into the shop.
