In celebration of The Heart is a Drowning Object book talk at New Dominion, we will be holding a post talk wine tasting!

Katherine Vaz, Isabel Pavão, and Katherine McNamara will be joining us from 5-7pm directly following their talk.

Walk over from New Dominion after the talk, or meet up with them here at 5pm. We will be pouring a selection of Portugueses wines and offering light snacks.

About the e-book: The Heart Is A Drowning Object, a collaboration by Katherine Vaz and Isabel Pavão, was born from a female solitude that living through grief might bring. Vaz’s poems begin with an actual damaged heart—a husband with a sudden affliction, a wife who tends to him. Pavão’s collages share and explore the colorations of grief. Their words and images grow, joyfully, into a recognition of late love amid the real possibility of loss.
