Though often overshadowed by the neighboring wine regions of Spain and France (unless you’re thinking about Port), Portugal has a long and rich wine tradition. Portuguese vintners make rich reds and minerally, zippy whites from loads of native grapes you may have never heard of but deserve to be introduced to. (Portuguese whites are especially fun once the weather turns warm.)
