Calmel & Joseph Terrasses du Larzac
Regularly $24.99/On sale for $14.96

We are so excited about our new Wine of the Week. We LOVE this wine at it's regular price of $24.99 and are thrilled to offer it you at $14.96. A blend of 50% Mourvèdre, 25% Syrah, 25% Grenache, this is an enormous wine for $24.99. At $14.96 it is a total steal! This is rare opportunity to spend very little for a wine that will also age gracefully for at least a few years.
Calmel & Joseph is a negociant who, since 1995, specializes in wines from private Languedoc-Roussillon wineries. Oenologist Laurent Calmel and winemaker Jérôme Joseph blend and age these wines to bring out the unique Mediterranean terroir that they love. Their “Cru” wines come from very small areas tempting our duo to bring out their particular characteristics.

Terrasses du Larzac is one of France’s most recently created appellations (2005), and we haven’t had a less than stellar wine from the area. (Good job Appellation Control!) Though still young, it has surprising layers of fruit, barnyard, minerality, more fruit, and smoke. Aged for one year in oak, this precious gem is one of Thadd’s favorite food wines in the shop!
