Regularly $15.99/On Sale for $12.96

Ferreira was founded in 1751, but it was under the stewardship of Port matriarch Dona Antónia Adelaide Ferreira (1811-1896) that it became the reference point for exceptional ports and Douro wines.

The Casa Ferreirinha line was founded in 1952, in an effort to highlight the excellent non-fortified wines of the Duoro. This white blend comes from high-altitude (Planalto translates to “high plains”) vineyards above the river Douro. The grapes were harvested by hand in the highlands and plateaus of the region and were selected for their balance between phenolic maturity and excellent freshness. The poor quality of the soil here forces low yields, but very high quality grapes.  A dizzying blend of 25% Viosinho, 20% Malvasia Fina, 15% Arinto/Pedernã, 15% Códega, 15% Gouveio (Verdelho), 5% Moscatel, and 5% Rabigato; and a great reminder that Portugal produces a lot more than Port!
