Sugar Cane Pecan Ale

Sadly, all the music venues have shuttered up and you can't go out at night and hear some jazz, but that doesn't mean you're totally out of luck. Our very own Three Notch'd Brewing Company has re-released their beer made in collaboration with a jazz musician. 

You see, it works like this ... Three Notch'd brewmaster Dave Warwick is friends with Jeff Vaughn -- Jazz musician, high school music teacher (Respect!), former chef, and avid home brewer. The two of them got together and made this tasty treat -- a light-bodied amber ale made with pure sugar cane and roasted pecans. 

The cane sweetens the ale, but not too much. It more rounds out a nice caramel flavor that you usually don't get from the malt of an amber. Riding on top of the malt are the roasted pecans adding an extra dimension. It's a good beer, very accessible, more Louis Armstrong than Charlie Parker. One sip and we think to ourselves, what a wonderful word.
